Course Objective

This course aims to carry the student's knowledge of shaping and design gained in undergraduate education to an advanced level, to examine the relationship between form and function, to design on the selected subject by considering this relationship, to apply this design with ceramic material and to gain the competence to present the resulting product.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have advanced knowledge about the relationship between the concepts of form and function
2   To be able to produce advanced artistic thought and design by starting from a given abstract or concrete theme and establishing a connection with function
3   To be able to produce the design with ceramic shaping method and to determine the method for mass production
4   To be able to follow the developments in the field
5   To be able to express and defend the design produced in written or verbally
