Course Objective

By examining the history of contemporary clothing fashion, it aims to develop creative application studies on the example of fashion designers and brands that create design and brand identity.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to use basic design elements and principles effectively in the design process.
2   Determining target audience and creating visual brand identity through market research.
3   Ability to create collection integrity through the use of silhouette, form, detail and fabric for sustainable design and brand identity.
4   Ability to correctly relate techniques and materials in design applications.
5   Ability to turn the design into a product and present it.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The instructor informs the students about the course topics with references and directs them to research on design and brand identity. Design studies are carried out by creating a visual brand identity for the determined target audience. During the application studies, a creative collection is created in line with the literature and visual resource research on techniques and materials.

Assessment Criteria

From the creative and innovative approach that creates the visual brand identity for the target audience in clothing designs.
From the correct association of material and application technique in the form of clothing.
Scoring is done on projects, homework, etc. files.

1. Attendance at 80% of the class is mandatory.
2. Any attempt at plagiarism and actual acts will result in disciplinary action.
3. Not attending class will not be considered a valid excuse for late submission of homework and projects.
