Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the processes of developing and adapting psychological measurement instruments to different cultural contexts, to teach the psychometric methods used in these processes and to develop students' skills in this field through applied studies.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains the development and adaptation processes of psychological measurement tools.
2   Performs validity and reliability analyses of a measurement tool and interpret the results.
3   Plans and implements item writing and piloting processes for psychological measurement tools.
4   Manages linguistic and cultural adaptation processes for measurement tools to be adapted to different cultures.
5   Acts in accordance with ethical principles in psychological measurement and evaluation processes.
