Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to examine, both theoretically and practically, the techniques used in the teaching of music theory and solfège; and to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for planning, conducting, and evaluating instructional processes in areas such as harmonization, dictation, harmonic and formal analysis, as well as the analysis, accompaniment, and reading of solfège pieces. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to become familiar with contemporary approaches to teaching music theory and solfège, to use various instructional methods effectively, and to develop their own instructional designs in light of academic research. |
