Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the reflections of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and simulation technologies in popular culture within a theoretical framework. The course encourages students to critically evaluate the influence of these technologies on cultural production, art, media, and education, and to develop original, creative analyses in this context.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Analyzes the concepts of virtual reality and simulation on a theoretical level.
2   Critically evaluates the role of digital technologies in popular culture.
3   Interprets the use of VR/AR in media, art, and education.
4   Discusses the impact of simulation on the perception of reality.
5   Analyzes the contributions of virtual environments to art education and creative production processes.
