Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine theoretical approaches, instructional strategies, and current practices in the field of language and literature teaching, and to develop participants' ability to analyze and evaluate these at an academic level. The course also aims to enable students to design creative and critical literature instruction using technology-supported methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Assess functions of vocabulary in development of poetry
2   Know the periods of Turkish poetry
3   Grasp the importance of poetry in Classical Turkish Literature
4   Do assessment about verse language of classical literature
5   Compare verse and prose language
