Course Objective

This course aims to understand and critically evaluate good practices in different cultural and educational contexts by examining language teaching methods, policies and programmes implemented around the world. It provides students with an in-depth look at key issues such as innovation in language teaching, the role of technology and multilingualism.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To examine and analyze global methods and approaches used in language teaching.
2   To understand the effects of language policies implemented in different countries on education.
3   To analyze the role of technology in language teaching and discuss innovative methods.
4   To increase awareness of multilingualism and language diversity and to evaluate the advantages and difficulties of this diversity in education.
5   To develop appropriate strategies for language teaching and adapt these strategies to increase students' learning success.
