Course Objective

The course aims to provide students with a multidisciplinary understanding of artificial intelligence in the context of language, literature, and media. Students will analyze the representation of AI in literary and media texts, experiment with creative writing using AI tools, and develop critical perspectives on the cultural, educational, and communicative implications of AI.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Define the concept of artificial intelligence and describe its societal functions
2   Analyze and interpret the representation of AI in literary and media texts
3   Identify and critically evaluate AI-generated language
4   Independently produce creative texts using AI tools
5   Reflect on ethical and aesthetic questions regarding the role of AI in literature and media
6   Contextualize media- and literature-based discourses on AI in the fields of education and culture
