Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to classify language and speech disorders by distinguishing the differences between communication, language and speech, and to have knowledge and experience about evaluation methods of these disorders.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. The students who succeeded in this course will be able to define communication, language and speech processes
2   2. understand the difference between communication, language and speech
3   3. classify communication, language and speech disorders according to their causes and symptoms and implement them
4   4. recognize the tools used in the evaluation of communication, language and speech disorders
5   5. evaluate the applications related to language and speech disorders
6   6. explain the meaning of cooperation and teamwork with different disciplines, the role and task limits of other experts
