Course Objective

This course aims to help Faculty of Business Administration students plan their career paths after graduation. The course is structured around seminars featuring professionals from public and private sectors, including managers, representatives, directors and entrepreneurs. These seminars, organized in collaboration with student clubs and academic departments, provide insights into personal and corporate experiences.
The course is designed to support students in defining their career goals and understanding industry-specific terminology, informal dynamics, company cultures, and emerging professions. Additionally, it aims to enhance students' networking abilities, personal branding, and self-confidence. The course is also expected to provide extracurricular competencies related to alternative career paths, including soft skills, teamwork, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, freelancing, and side project management.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identifying career opportunities in different sectors and fields that align with one's own competencies.
2   Determining which soft skills to develop, sertifications to obtain and internships to pursue for short and long-term career goals.
3   Interpreting current dynamics in business, finance, economics, tourism, logistics and political science/international relations.
4   Gaining knowledge of CV/resume preparation and interview techniques
5   Recognizing and defining company cultures and business ethics
6   Relating soft skills such as crisis management, teamwork and leadership to real-world examples from guest speakers.
7   Understanding how to build collaborations and synergy with sectors outside their primary field of interest.
8   Developing insights into how theoretical knowledge from the facult aligns with industry practices.

1. Active listening and inquiry: Encouraging students to engage in seminar discussions actively

2. Reflection reports: Students summarize key ideas from seminars

3. Case studies: Preparing seminar presentations based on specific case studies

4. Role playing: Simulated job interviews and other business-related scenarios.

5. Gamification: Designing simple games to help students understand processes intuitively

6. Flipped classroom: Sharing pre-seminar videos from speakers and structuring discussions around them

7. Virtual company tours: Exploring different company departments via online platforms like Zoom

8. Mentimeter-polling tools: Usin real-time survey and voting tools in seminars.

Assessment Criteria

Participation and attendance: Students are expected to actively contribure to seminar discussions

Reflection reports: Students may be required to submit short reflection papers on key seminar topics, subject to the course coordinator's discretion

Course Policies and Rules

* Each week, a different quest speaker will participate. The selection of speakers will be coordinated with student clubs and faculty members

* Students must attend at least 70% of the seminars. Those who fail to meet this requirements will be considered unsuccessful due to absenteeism

* There will be no mid-term or final exam for this course

* The course coordinator may require stuents to submit short reflection reports after each seminar. At tleast 70% of these reports must be submitted to pass

* Final evaluation wil be based on PASS/FAIL criteria.
