Course Objective

It is targeted to learn the content and purposes of the rules concerning labour law by analyzing its concepts and regulations in a systematical method. In this manner, students may develop views and solutions on the application of labour law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to determine the content of the labour legislation and its international sources
2   To be able to explain the functions of labour law regulations
3   To be able to connect the rules of labour law with present cases
4   To be able to examine current applications of labour law and judicial decisions
5   To be able to evaluate new proposals concerning current regulations
6   To be able to reach a synthesis of different labour law regulations related with each other

6 Subcontractor, Workplace, Opening, Closing and Transfer of a Workplace. Establishment of Trade Unions.
7 Application Area of the Labour Law. Organization of Trade Unions
8 Employment Contract and Its Features. Acquisition and Loss of Union Membership.
9 Types of Employment Contract and Temporary Employment. Rights and Obligations of Union Members, Activities of Unions.
10 Types of Employment Contract. Termination of union membership
11 Conclusion and Amendment of Employment Contracts, Form of the Contract and Prohibitions of Employment. Activities of Trade Unions
12 Obligation to Hire Employees. Supervision, Suspension and Ending of Trade Unions.
