Course Objective

To enable prospective teacher, who will do the instruction of the books concerning different courses prepared in accordance with the primary education curriculum, To identify and learn the text books they would use in the class and the topics in these books; to raise their awareness on the Student Study Books and Teacher Guideline Books, which came up with the new system, on the points of their purpose, content and effective use.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Grasping the relationship between textbooks and the curriculum.
2   Observing the positive and negative aspects of textbook usage.
3   Evaluating textbooks in terms of curriculum alignment, language and narration, scientific content, and visual design.
4   Explaining the role of teacher s guidebooks and student workbooks in textbook use and education.
5   Preparing a model textbook aligned with the curriculum and based on content knowledge.
