Course Objective

In the dynamics of the information and technology age, individuals are expected to approach the problems they encounter from a more systematic and professional perspective and to develop effective solution strategies. In this context, the aim of the course is to equip prospective primary school teachers with the skills to develop solutions to problems using engineering design processes. The course aims to enable students to address challenges through engineering design and problem-solving methods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines engineering design processes and explains how they can be utilized in educational contexts.
2   Analyzes problem-solving methods and enhances them through applied examples.
3   Proposes effective solution strategies to student-related problems using engineering design processes.
4   Conducts solution development processes effectively within a group by utilizing teamwork and creative thinking skills.
5   Develops appropriate solution proposals for various science and engineering problems and applies them in classroom practices.
6   Identifies challenges encountered at each stage of the engineering design process and suggests possible solutions.
