Course Objective

The primary aim of this course is to equip prospective classroom teachers with the skills to effectively assess and evaluate student achievement and development levels in science lessons. The course intends to introduce various assessment and evaluation methods and tools, and to support these with practical examples aimed at enhancing the capacity to monitor and analyze student performance.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the fundamental principles of assessment and evaluation in science education.
2   Compare quantitative and qualitative assessment techniques.
3   Identify assessment tools used to evaluate student performance.
4   Develop rubrics, checklists, and observation forms.
5   Prepare evaluation reports that provide feedback to students.
6   Demonstrate ethical behavior in the assessment and evaluation process.
