Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide primary school teacher candidates with theoretical knowledge and awareness about the place and importance of problem posing in mathematics teaching and problem solving, to support them in developing their pedagogical competence in problem posing, and to provide them with the skills to design appropriate learning environments.

2   Understands the meaning and role of problem posing in mathematics instruction.
3   Recognizes and applies strategies for posing problems.
