Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to provide prospective teachers with an in-depth understanding of problem solving and problem posing processes, to understand the place of these processes in mathematics teaching, to learn about various problem types and solution strategies, and to reflect this information on classroom practices. In addition, it is aimed to provide the skills to evaluate mathematical problem solving and posing activities in light of current developments and to train prospective teachers as effective problem makers and solvers in the context of the middle school mathematics program. |
