Course Objective

To teach concepts related to character and value. To understand the importance of family, environment and school in character development and education. To teach definition, classification and teaching methods of values. To evaluate the ways of value and character teaching in modern and multicultural societies. To evaluate the examples, practices and researches related to value education from the history of Turkish education and culture.

5 Sources of values and individual, social, cultural, religious, moral bases.
6 Character and value education approaches and practices.
7 Culture of intercultural differentiation and coexistence in character and value education.
8 General review, course evaluation, midterm exam
9 Character and value education in terms of educational philosophy and goals
10 Teaching methods and techniques in character / value education
11 Values crisis and education in modern and multicultural societies.
12 Value education in the human-cultural development process.
13 Türkiye examples about the value of education and cultural history education, practices and researchs.
14 Teacher as a role model in character and value education.
15 Final Exam
