Course Objective

The aim of this course is to help the student develop basic technical and musical skills on their principal instrument. The course focuses on proper posture, instrument and bow hold, finger positions, sight-reading, and the study of basic études and repertoire to establish instrumental control. It also aims to cultivate regular practice habits and enhance the student s ability to express musical ideas through performance.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Adopts a proper posture for playing the viola
2   Understands and applies basic bowing techniques (détaché, legato)
3   Places the left-hand fingers accurately on the fingerboard for correct pitch

1 Viyolanın tanıtılması ve tarihsel gelişimiyle ilgili bilgi verilmesi. Viyola çalmaya uygun duruş, viyolayı doğru tutma.
2 Viyola çalmaya uygun duruş, viyolayı ve yayı doğru tutma, boş tellerde yay çekme çalışmaları
3 Boş tellerde yay çekme ve değiştirme çalışmaları. Sol el parmaklarını ilgili seslere doğru olarak düşürme çalışmaları.
4 Sol el parmaklarını ilgili seslere doğru olarak düşürme çalışmaları.
