Course Objective |
The main purpose of this course is to introduce students to the literary movements (Fecr-i Ati) that emerged after the dissolution of Servet-i Fünun in the New Turkish Literature, the characteristics of the National Literature Period, its important artists and works, and to enable them to understand the historical, social and cultural context of this period. In addition, the literary trends of the early years of the Republic will be introduced, and the continuity and changes in the modernization process of New Turkish Literature will be comprehended. It is aimed for students to develop their skills in analyzing and interpreting literary texts from this period. |

The success of the student is determined by the midterm and final exam grades. Apart from this, there are no special evaluation criteria. |

Students should prepare for the subjects specified in the syllabus before coming to the classes. Attendance to 70% of the courses is compulsory. |
