Course Objective |
The main purpose of this course is to introduce students to the important literary movements, genres, works and artists of the New Turkish Literature from the Tanzimat Period to the end of the Servet-i Fünun Period and to enable them to understand the cultural and intellectual background of this period. Through this course, students will understand the emergence and development of Turkish literature under Western influence and the literary debates of this period. In addition, it is aimed to develop their skills in analyzing and interpreting literary texts of this period. |

The success of the student is determined by the midterm and final exam grades. Apart from this, there are no special evaluation criteria. |

Students should prepare for the subjects specified in the syllabus before coming to the classes. Attendance to 70% of the courses is compulsory. |
