Course Objective

The aim of this course is to develop awareness of child abuse and neglect, as well as to provide knowledge and skills in prevention and intervention methods

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explain the basic concepts of child abuse and neglect
2   Recognizes signs of child abuse and neglect
3   Interprets the effects of child abuse and neglect on children
4   Knows national and international legal regulations about child abuse and neglect
5   Prepares psycho-educational programs to prevent child abuse and neglect
6   Develops interviewing skills with children exposed to child abuse
