Course Objective

Learning the concept of operation (especially binary internal operation) and with the help of it, defining the group (and subgroup) structure, internalizing different group types (cyclic, symmetrical, etc.) and determining homomorphism and its types.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. To know the basics of sets, relations, functions, and binary operations.
2   2. To understand the features of the operation.
3   3. To explain the concept of group and subgroup and give examples of systems.
4   4. Expressing subgrouping theorems and Lagrange's Theorem.
5   5. To be able to define the cyclic group and symmetric group concepts and the normal subgroup and homomorphism types.
