Course Objective

Make pre-service elementary mathematics teachers understand the nature of learning mathematics and notice the possible misconceptions during the formation of mathematical concepts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To comprehend the misconception and learning difficulties notions properly in learning mathematics.
2   To comprehend and use the knowledge of learning difficulties encountered during the formation of mathematical concepts .
3   To use the knowledge of misconceptions during the mathematical learning process.
4   To use the knowledge of misconceptions in order to make mathematical connections.
5   To assess the mathematical misconceptions.
