Course Objective

Create mathematical foundations of probability and teach concepts of probability that make up the theoretical background of statistics.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1. Gain knowledge of basic concepts related to probability.
2   2. Apply probabilistic concepts to problems.
3   3. Apply Conditional Probability and Bayes' Theorem.
4   4. Categorize discrete and continuous distributions and apply them to problems.
5   5. Can apply Binomial, Poisson and Hypergeometric distributions.
