Course Objective

The focus is on the use of literature in language teaching. Poems and drama texts selected from English and American Literature are first examined from a literary perspective and then lesson plans are prepared on how these texts can be used as tools in language education for teaching language skills, vocabulary, grammar, creativity, critical thinking and culture.

1   To introduce how to use the literary set texs in teaching English
2   To enable the students to comprehend the differences among the literary set texts
3   To learn the methods and approaches of teaching the literary set texts
4   To enable the students to make the analysis of the literary set texts in language teaching through the selected techniques
