Course Objective

The aim of this course is to convey the principles and approaches necessary to systematically review English textbooks to prospective teachers. Thus, the weaknesses and strengths of the books will be revealed, and information will be conveyed in the direction of adaptation and the use of supporting materials where necessary.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the place and importance of English textbooks in foreign language curriculum
2   To be able to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using textbooks in foreign language education.
3   Knowing textbook analysis methods
4   To be able to evaluate the English textbooks in the market with their strengths and weaknesses.
5   To be able to adapt printed materials using different techniques
