Course Objective

"The aim of this course is to develop students' media literacy in relation to their future teaching profession; to familiarize them with various instructional materials, to learn how to use them, to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and to enable them to prepare their own teaching materials suitable for different classroom environments, language levels, and skills.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Anaylse and evaluate classical and new media regarding their specific advantages and disadvantages in classroom situation
2   Use different media for specific purposes
3   Analyze teaching materials regarding their design, their degree of difficulty and their appropriateness for certain groups of learners and for the specific foreign language skills
4   Create teaching units for A1, A2 and B1-level for different media and the development of different language skills
5   Reflect their own teacher role using different media in the classroom

10 Games: Vocabulary and Grammar; Speaking and Writing

The success of the student is determined by the midterm and final exam grades. Apart from this, there is no special evaluation criterion.
