Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to analyze the values education and its basic concepts and values education studies in Türkiye and worldwide within the framework of necessity and importance of values education and to understand the importance of the values according to social studies education.

1   Describe the basic concepts about values and values education.
2   Classify the values as sociologically, psychologically and philosophically.
3   Apprehend the reasons justifying the values education.
4   Aproaches of teachign value in social studies education.
5   Evaluate the role of families and teachers in values education.
