Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inform students about the Ottoman political developments in the 18th-20th centuries.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehend the changes in Ottoman political relations.
2   Comprehend the factors that play a role in interstate relations.
3   Evaluate the policies of the Ottoman Empire against the European states.
4   Comprehend the targets of the European states towards the Ottoman Empire.
5   Analyze the policies of European states and Russia towards the Ottoman Empire.
