Course Objective

To introduce learning activities into the mathematics curriculum by exploring various types of mathematical learning activities; to design mathematical learning experiences for student teachers that address different mathematical concepts; to develop assessment tools that identify and evaluate students' mathematical development and foster critical thinking; and to equip student teachers with problem-solving skills by discussing multiple strategies for solving diverse problems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gain perspective on the activity presented in Secondary school mathematics curriculum.
2   Prepare mathematical learning activities according to curriculum learning areas.
3   Prepare routine and non-routine problems about mathematical concept.
4   Use appropriate strategies to solve routine and non-routine problems.
5   Ddevelop assessment tools to evaluate student work.
