Course Objective

The aim of this course is to develop prospective teachers' instructional skills related to geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability topics included in the high school mathematics curriculum. It is intended that prospective teachers learn the teaching methods, tools, and strategies related to these topics and reflect their teaching skills into practice.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Develop teaching skills for geometry and trigonometry topics and design effective instructional processes related to these topics.
2   Develop teaching skills for collecting and analyzing statistical data and design effective instructional processes related to statistical concepts.
3   Develop teaching skills for concepts of probability and design effective instructional processes related to these topics.
4   Design learning and assessment activities related to the teaching of geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability.
5   Integrate different approaches into the teaching of geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability topics.
