Course Objective

This course will examine the concept of social policy along with women-focused social policies, and will discuss methods and issues related to determining and implementing social policy at the national and international levels in relation to women's issues.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Gains a critical perspective on the field.
2   Can understand developments in the field of social policy in different country groups in terms of their level of development in a comparative manner.
3   Learns the factors that influence social policy on a global and local scale.
4   Can establish and analyze the relationship between social policies and women.
5   Can compare the changes in production, division of labor, labor markets, and social policy applications on a global scale in terms of time and space.
