Course Objective |
The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge about cattle and horse breeding. The course covers an overview of animal husbandry, the domestication process, and the resulting changes in animal species. It includes the classification of cattle and horse breeds, with emphasis on native and commercial breeds, their evaluation based on milk and meat production, barn planning, nutrition, age determination, and breeding selection criteria. Additionally, students will learn about the care of horses based on life stages, coat colors and markings, and horse breeds raised in Türkiye, aiming to enhance their practical understanding. |
