Course Objective

The aim of this course is to design the welded constructions used in different fields and to teach welding planning

Week Subject Description 1 Introduction to Welded construction and design course and sample designs 2 Trial design work in drawing program (Solidworks) 3 Design concept, components of design, stages of design, idea formation, shaping, sample design study 4 Welded construction design study in drawing program-I 5 The importance of safety and reliability in design 6 Welded construction design study-II in drawing program 7 Material selection suitable for construction 8 Midterm exam 9 Welded construction design work in drawing program-III 10 Selection of appropriate welding technique in construction processes 11 Project work (individual) 12 Project work (team) 13 Strength calculations and problem solutions in welded parts 14 Design analysis, team building, cost calculation, proposal preparation 15 General Review and Course Evaluation
