Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the destructive and non-destructive testing methods used to test the weld zones in materials, to analyze the data obtained as a result of these tests and to teach the students the application of weld inspection with liquid penetrant test, which is one of the non-destructive inspection methods.

1   To have knowledge about destructive inspection methods
2   To have knowledge about non-destructive inspection methods
3   Ability to choose the correct examination method in line with the requested data
4   Ability to interpret the data obtained as a result of weld inspection
5   Ability to perform the weld inspection with penetrant liquid
