Course Objective

The student will know and use all the features of precision measurement, control instruments and machine tools, and will be able to apply measurement techniques. Will be able to perform all position welding and position welding with electric arc welding. Will be able to do all position welding and position welding with oxy-gas welding. Will be able to weld steel, cast iron, copper and its alloys, and aluminum and its alloys. Can read and prepare welded construction projects.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to use all precision measurement, control tools and machine tools, to apply measurement techniques
2   To be able to draw straight stitches with electric arc welding, to be able to make blunt welding, to be able to make trap welding, to be able to make corner welding in horizontal position
3   To be able to make vertical position welding from bottom to top with electric arc welding, to be able to make ceiling position welding, to be able to make horizontal welding of pipes and profiles
4   To be able to draw welding seam with Oxy-gas welding, blunt attachment welding, horizontal corner welding
5   Oxy - gas welding with wire and radio vertical position welding, ceiling position welding
6   To be able to make horizontal welding of pipes and Profiles with Oxy-gas welding, cast iron welding, welding of different metals and alloys

Course Contents

1 Calipers, micrometers, comparators, angle measuring tools surface roughness measurement, screw measurement, gearing measurement
2 Surface control with infinitives and optical glasses, pneumatic measurement methods, shape and size tolerance control
3 Calibration of measuring devices and machine tools and the importance of calibration
4 General information about electric arc welding, welding machines, auxiliary elements, electric arc, welding seam, types of electrodes
5 Horizontal blunt snap welding, trap welding, horizontal position inner and outer corner welding, electric arc V,X, K and J welding
6 Side blunt , V, trap and inner corner weldings. Take bottom-up, v, trap and inner corner welding
7 Top-down blunt attachment, trap and inner corner welding, ceiling position welding. Welding of pipes, hair and profiles
8 Midterm
9 General information about Oxy-gas welding, auxiliary elements used in Oxy-gas welding, welding flame and setting. Horizontal wire and radio stitch drawing with Oxy-gas welding, blunt attachment welding with Oxy-gas welding, left-to-right welding
10 Oxy-gas welding with wire and radio horizontal external corner welding, Oxy-gas welding with horizontal internal corner welding, flange welding
11 Oxy-gas welding with side wall welding, trap welding, wire blunt attachment welding, vertical corner welding
12 Ceiling welding with Oxy-gas welding, ceiling V welding, pipe welding with Oxy-gas welding and T welding, take profiles and corner welding
13 Welding of cast iron, copper and its alloys with Oxy-Gas welding.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The theoretical part of this course will be covered in the classroom and the practical part in the workshop. Lecturers will give the subjects using slides, discuss them with the students as questions and answers, give them hands-on in the workshop for a better understanding of the subjects
