Course Objective

The aim of the course is to examine and learn the set of tools and concepts necessary to make sense of political and economic problems related to major political economy theories.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to evaluate basic theoretical approaches in political economy such as mercantalism, liberalism, Marxism and statism.
2   Ability to understand the relationship between the state, economic policies and the economy
3   Being able to see how political forces affect markets and how markets affect politics
4   Explaining the international production, trade and finance structure
5   To have knowledge about the discussions regarding the future of the global system.
