Course Objective

This course aims to follow and evaluate the new trends and developments in tourism sector and religious tourism

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand new trends and developments affecting tourism sector in the world.
2   Analyze changes in global tourism movements and customer expectations and evaluate their impacts
3   Monitor and analyze changes and developments in religious tourism
4   Comprehend and apply current management and marketing techniques which can be used by businesses in religious tourism
5   Analyze the factors and variables which may affect the current religious tourism destinations and attractions, and suggest solutions to potential problems

Information on the preparation of assignments and presentations will be given in detail at the beginning of the semester, considering the number of students.

Assessment Criteria

Midterm: It will measure levels of students to extrapolate using knowledge acquired.
Assignment /Presentation: It will assess levels of students to make a comment, discuss and offer solution with a holistic approach and capabilities to transfer their knowledge.
Final Exam: It will measure level of students to correlate the concepts discussed during the course, to evaluate and discuss causality and relationships and to propose solutions.
