Course Objective

The main purpose of this course is to teach general principles and the institutions of the law to the students. During the semestr the fundemental rulesof law, such as justice, equity and sources of law will be discussed. In this perspective the real person, legal persons, their rights and capabilities, and the lose of personality will be the subject of this course. Constituional law, property law, family law,obligation law and the system of courts are going to be considered.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To introduce the students to a general familiarity with some of the basic conceptions of most continental systems, to give perception and intellectual approach,and critical adequacy
2   Written and unwritten sources of law with assessments and discussing the resources hierarchy
3   Public law and private law concepts with their assessments
4   Law of persons, persons with the concept of learning beginning and termination
5   Application of rules of law, interpretation and a general framework to be drawn about the organization of the judiciary

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1.Midterm Exam: Mid-term exam covers the topics examined in the course and weekly assignments (40%).
2.Final Exam: Final exam covers all subjects in the course content. Students are also responsible for the discussion, practice and case studies (60%).

Assessment Criteria

Exam papers will be evaluated regarding the level of understanding, as well as defining the causality between the basic concepts and issues of the lecture, ability of giving examples and analytical thought, and using relevant terminology.
