Course Objective

The aim of the project preparation course is to enable students to develop ideas related to tourism sector, to put these ideas into project format and gain implementation skills while using the theoretical knowledge related to tourism.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Introduction to the Course Purpose and content of the course, assessment and evaluation methods, distribution of project topics and timeline.
2 Project Preparation: Basic Concepts, Process, Planning, and Management Project topics and timelines, project concept, objectives of project preparation, project characteristics, principles of effective project preparation, project types (academic, sectoral), project cycle.
3 Literature Review and Project Writing Database information, APA 7 writing style, fast writing techniques, evaluation of project logical framework proposals.
4 Research Methods and Data Collection Techniques Quantitative and qualitative research methods, evaluation of literature review results, uploading sources to the system.
5 Ethical Elements in the Project and Presentation Techniques Time management, presentation flow, body language and communication techniques, presentation of successful presentation examples.

Assessment Criteria

Project reports will be evaluated regarding the level of understanding, coherence to research methodology and academic writing principles as well as defining the causality between the basic concepts and issues of the lecture, ability of giving examples and analytical thought, and using relevant terminology.
