Course Objective

The aim of the course is to discuss the results of fiscal policies for women and to comprehend public expenditures, taxes, budget strategies which are the fiscal policy instruments of the state and monetary policy instruments from a feminist perspective.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to analyze the relationship between fiscal policies and women's studies in theorical and practical terms,
2   To be able to evaluate the problems faced by women in socioeconomic life and the role of fiscal policies in the solution of the mentioned problems from a feminist perspective,
3   To be able to analyze the effects of new social developments on women, and to make concrete fiscal policy recommendations with the knowledge that gained in one s field,
4   To be able to evaluate the effects of public fiscal policies on women's lives at the national and international level,
5   To be able to carry out independent research in the field of women's studies by synthesizing women's-oriented fiscal policies and the knowledge gained from different disciplines,
6   To be able to present academic studies that will contribute to the literature on women's studies with the knowledge of theory and practice in the field of feminist fiscal policies.
