Course Objective

This course will provide students with economic literacy that will enable them to analyze microeconomic behavior and current economics issues from an operator's perspective, understand how actors in the economy make effective distribution decisions of existing resources, market structure, supply and demand, consumer behavior, production process, firm behavior in product markets. aims to develop the ability to make economic analysis by gaining competencies in the fields of input markets, market power and failures.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Learns the basic dynamics of the economy.
2   Learns to make rational decision and make a choice.
3   Learn the market supply and demand determinants.
4   Understands the effects of supply and demand dynamics on market balance.
5   Analyze consumer and producer behavior.
6   Distinguish differences regarding market types, structure and functioning.
7   Learns the labor market, the concepts of efficiency in consumption and production.

Exams: There will be held on two in class exams; midterm exam and final exam during the semester.
