Course Objective

The purposes of the course, graduate students are developing translational perspective. In this course; clinical follow-up from the laboratory to the bedside, based on the molecular characteristics chemotherapy, radiotherapy applications, immunotherapy, nutrition, palliative care issues will be discussed in the general information. Organospecific clinical approaches will be discussed and will learn about the principles of randomized clinical trials.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowledgeable about the concept of translational medicine from the bench to the bed.
2   Be able to recognize and comprehend the general outline of modern oncology practice
3   Be able to recognize and comprehend the general outline of molecular based therapy in translational oncology
4   Be able to critically evaluate the published literature in the field of the translational oncology
5   Be able to critically evaluate the organospecific cancer research
6   Be able to understand the importance of a multi-disciplinary team work in translational oncology practice
