Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to compare and contrast the constitutions of the Turkish Repuplic and that of the United States of America. The former was first written in 1924 and has been revised several times whereas the latter remains unchanged except for the amendments added to the constitution. A comparative analysis of legal systems in the context of modernization will also be made possible.
