Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach ways to discuss well know Armenian question on the base of systematic and comparative analysis of documents, and analyze origin of nationalist movements in Ottoman society and Ottoman system of nations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   know Ottoman system of nations
2   understand progress of nation-state idea and effects of nationalist currents
3   learn theory of nationalism and study therefore national identity of Armenians
4   analyze Turkish and Armenian suggestions about the Armenian Questions
5   evaluate effect of Armanian question to the Turkish foreign affair policy
