Course Objective

To give information on how religious beliefs and practices were developed; to show their common points and differences and the socio cultural impacts on them.
In addition, to point out the relations between religious ideas and behaviors

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn the definition of religion and its basic dimensions.
2   Students become aware of common and different practices of living religions.
3   Students realize the differences between the theoretical and practical sides of religions.
4   Students develop empathy towards the others.
5   Students become aware of causes of differences between the practical and doctrinal sides.

7 Holy stones: the sources of fertility and miracles.

11 Earth, Birth, and Women.
12 Holy herbs and Life Tree
13 Agricultural life, fertility and thanksgiving rituals.
