Course Objective |
The first part of the course aims to explain the physiological mechanisms underlying behavior. In this section, behavior-related brain mechanisms at micro and macro level will be explained. The second part of the course will provide an overview of the function of sleep, the physiological mechanisms underlying sleep, and the relationship between sleep and cognitive functions. The role of sleep on various functions of the brain such as memory, attention, cognitive control, learning, emotion processing will be discussed through articles. |

Assessment Criteria |
One midterm and one final exam will be conducted. There will be open-ended questions in the levels of informantion, comprehension, analysis, interpretation and synthesis in all exams. |
