Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the role of the manager and managerial functions, organization theory and interpersonal communication as they pertain to the management of work groups and organizations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Examine and understand modern management theory and practice, identifying different views of management.
2   Recognize and discuss the role of planning, organizing, leading and controlling in management using management concept and theories
3   Diagnose managerial issue, generate solutions and recommendations to solve the issue
4   Gain an awareness for business ethics issues in the management processes
