Course Objective

Intruducing literary trends that effects writer and literary work by the way literature, and giving philosopyical and art background of this trends as information.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have knowledge about literary trends that changes world and Turkish literature.
2   Be able to recognize literary trends and philosophic theories on a literary text.
3   Have ability of analyzing a literary text
4   Recognizes basic figures and works of world literature.

2 General properties of Ancient Greek, Latin and Medievial literatures
3 First disengagements from Medievial and principles and properties of Renaissance literature, analysis of Pierre de Ronsard s Cyrano de Bergerac
4 Born of Classicism and its philosophical background, principles and properties of Classicism as a literary trend, analysis of Moliere s Kibarlık Budalası
