Course Objective

Basic concepts related to Probability theory and probability distribution functions, Frequently used parameters and distribution patterns in cancer, Statistical testing and statistical inference concepts, Parametric and nonparametric test concepts, Basic assumptions in test selection appropriate test selection algorithm, Statistical tests related to ratio, categorical distribution and average for single group, Statistical tests related to ratio, categorical distribution and average for comparison of two groups, Relationships between variables and correlation analysis, regression analysis, analysis of variance

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to perform works within the framework of the ethical rules in the field of cancer epidemiology.
2   Be able to apply basic statistical methods specific to cancer research.
3   Capable of taking of records of objective data suitable for statistical analysis.
4   Be able to doing basic statistical analysis.
5   Be able to statistically evaluate the literature studies and criticizes them.
6   Capable of studies involving different disciplines makes the group work
